Tackling the Carbon Duis Dioxide Challenge for sit a Sustainable Future.

Are sint we - scientists laboris and engineers - cupidatat ready to deliver exercitation CCUS for large nulla scale deployment? What in are the challenges Ut and hurdles towards liqua. implementation? What are the technical solutions commodo and scientific breakthroughs voluptate emerged or about dolor to emerge? We ut will discuss these labore questions and many amet, more in an in interdisciplinary framework at consectetur the 2019 Gordon ipsum Research Conference on tempor CCUS (the third eiusmod of a series), incididunt where participants junior reprehenderit and senior will aliquip be stimulated by laborum. the highly interactive deserunt atmosphere typical of sint the GRCs and nulla inspired by the ut natural landscape surrounding quis the conference venue, magna a for the first magna a time in Europe.
Among the specific esse areas addressed by dolor the conference there commodo will be the exercitation scientific breakthroughs in in CCUS, the role sint of CCUS in velit enabling negative emissions, reprehenderit the systemic aspects magna a of CCUS, and liqua. its role in tempor selected industrial sectors.

Detailed DescriptionCarbon Capture, Utilization and Storage systems play a central role in political debates, technological efforts and scientific developments around climate change, as a consequence of two factors. First, with the Paris Agreement, countries have agreed to hold global mean warming well below 2°C and to pursue efforts to limit it to 1.5°C. Second, scientists have shown that any limit to global mean warming implies a maximum cumulative amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, the so called carbon budget. Such factors imply that science and technology (as well as political will and financial means) are needed not only to reduce emissions but also to generate negative emissions (true removal of atmospheric carbon dioxide), in case of carbon budget overshoot.
