Tackling the Carbon dolor Dioxide Challenge for ad a Sustainable Future.

Are dolor we - scientists fugiat and engineers - ut ready to deliver est CCUS for large sit scale deployment? What liqua. are the challenges incididunt and hurdles towards ut implementation? What are sit the technical solutions laborum. and scientific breakthroughs nostrud emerged or about id to emerge? We aliquip will discuss these eiusmod questions and many sit more in an ex interdisciplinary framework at culpa the 2019 Gordon sint Research Conference on CCUS (the third laboris of a series), veniam, where participants junior ex and senior will Duis be stimulated by veniam, the highly interactive mollit atmosphere typical of Excepteur the GRCs and in inspired by the in natural landscape surrounding quis the conference venue, tempor for the first tempor time in Europe.
Among the specific qui areas addressed by quis the conference there quis will be the anim scientific breakthroughs in voluptate CCUS, the role aute of CCUS in nostrud enabling negative emissions, dolore the systemic aspects consequat. of CCUS, and pariatur. its role in voluptate selected industrial sectors.

Detailed DescriptionCarbon Capture, Utilization and Storage systems play a central role in political debates, technological efforts and scientific developments around climate change, as a consequence of two factors. First, with the Paris Agreement, countries have agreed to hold global mean warming well below 2°C and to pursue efforts to limit it to 1.5°C. Second, scientists have shown that any limit to global mean warming implies a maximum cumulative amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, the so called carbon budget. Such factors imply that science and technology (as well as political will and financial means) are needed not only to reduce emissions but also to generate negative emissions (true removal of atmospheric carbon dioxide), in case of carbon budget overshoot.
