In January, Yves Flückiger will succeed Marcel Tanner as President of the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences. "My main goal will be to create a climate of trust between science and society. That won't be easy. You have to work towards that, step by step," he explains in an interview with "Horizonte". In the latest issue of the research magazine, the former Rector of the University of Geneva talks about the state of science in Switzerland, relations with Europe and working conditions at universities.
