The third mentoring program event for the BeNeFri cluster took place on April 12, 2024. Mentors and mentees got the chance to visit the Agroscope in Liebefeld (Bern).
After a brief introduction about the institute given by the mentor Dr. Stefan Irmler, the group got the chance to visit the production site, where the bacteria needed for cheese production are produced. 🧀🦠After that, we could visit the metabolomics labs. After lunch, mentors and mentees had the chance to continue to discuss about different topics, including ethics in R&D and choosing a career path.
We really want to thank Dr. Stefan Irmler again for having us in Liebefeld. Stay tuned for our last event, which will take place in May!
